RHINOPLASTY
SURGERY

Rhinoplasty surgery is performed on individuals above the age of 18 who are not satisfied with the shape of their nose to provide aesthetic correction. It can rarely be performed on individuals under the age of 18 by obtaining the consent of their parents in the presence of severe deformities that severely obstruct the airway (trauma, congenital, tumor, etc.).

The aim of this operation is to obtain a nose that is both aesthetically compatible with the face and has open airways and breathable.

In patients with breathing problems, the nasal airway is monitored before the operation through a nasal endoscopy (camera) and/or tomography. If needed, the airway surgery (septoplasty and concha surgery) can be simultaneously performed in the same session.

The operation is planned with the patient before the operation with the help of three-dimensional imaging techniques on the pictures of the patient.

The operation lasts 2-3 hours under general anesthesia, and our patients are admitted to the hospital on the morning of the surgery. They stay at the hospital after the operation and on the same night, and they are discharged the next day. Perforated silicone pads are put inside the nose and a splint is applied outside the nose in the operation. The splint and stitches are removed on the postoperative 7th day.

Swelling and purpleness may occur in some patients within a few days after the operation. Edema decreases based on the person and the nose takes its final shape roughly at the end of the 6th month. Revision can be made at the end of the first year at the earliest in patients who need revision.

The time to stay in Turkey after the operation is one week for our patients who come from foreign countries.
